The child mitt is a weatherproof breathable protector for the lower arm including the fingers. The mitt protects your child's cast outdoors, for example when playing in the sand. The mitt is water-resistant, but should not be submerged.
Put mitt over the cast or bandage and adjust straps as appropriate. The Outcast should fit just past the top of your child's elbow cast and can be used on either hand.
Care in use.
Avoid scuffing the material as this will damage the waterproofness of the fabric
The Outcast is not submersible
Hand wash at a cool temperature with a mild washing detergent.
No bleach.
Waterproofing will be decreased after multiple washes. Can be re-waterproofed after extended use (when water no longer ‘beads’ on the surface of the material) by using Scotch guard or something similar.
